Hi, I'm Alex, a Warrnambool boy who's had enough of politicians taking this region for granted. So, I'm doing something. Throwing my hat in the ring so that Wannon has the choice to elect an independent candidate whose motivation is representing the people, not the political party. 
The upcoming election will give us a chance to change the landscape of our democracy and put the future of our incredible region back into our own hands; showing the two-party system that while actions have consequences, so does inaction.  

As shown by previous parliaments, Independent representation can have a massive impact. In 2022, we can cement Wannon at the forefront of the renewable energy economy, address the entrenched disadvantage in health and education faced by regional residents, and above all install a candidate who will listen to you, not their bosses in Canberra. Yes, I'm a bit nervous. Yes, I will be learning a lot. But together, I think anything is possible, and I can't wait to go on this journey with you.
